JavaScript is a prototype-based object-oriented language. Standard implementation does not support such classic OOP mechanisms as classes and inheritance. But the flexibility of the language allows to emulate these mechanisms. Native API is not very suitable for emulation, because it produces many confusing and duplicated code. JOOT was created to minimize these problems. It is based on the native API and encapsulates all of the tricky code, providing a simple interface for writing object-oriented JavaScript in more classical way.
