BPRemoteMeeting is a remote meeting and a desktop sharing software allowing user to meet with other computer users, customers, clients or colleagues via the Internet in real-time. The package contains server (moderator) tool for hosting meetings, client tool to join meetings, files for site to download above tools.
The tools are based on TightVNC platform. When the moderator starts his session, the system generates a random id number which is recorded in the database. Clients can join this session on the site with the id number of the session, which they can get by mail, by phone or by any other way. Their ip address is catched by the system. Client gets his tool, which runs in listening mode by default.
The server tool searches the database every 5 seconds and attempts to connect with joined clients by their ip addresses. When the connection is successful, client can view moderator's screen, and moderator can view the list of clients, which are connected to his computer.
