Spam Sleuth Lite, more than a simple filter, monitors your e-mail box behind the scenes and analyzes e- mail messages for spam, virus and Web bug characteristics. If Spam Sleuth determines an e- mail is spam, it yanks it out of the e-mail server, compresses it so that it takes as little space as possible on your computer. When your e-mail program gets your e- mail, the spam has already been removed and you can read your e- mail the same way you always have, but without sorting through the junk e-mail to find the gems.

FRIENDS - Add your friends e-mail addresses to allow messages through to your inbox. You can import addresses from your e-mail program, and you can use wild cards to quickly add domains. For example, if you want to receive all e-mail coming from Blue Squirrel you would enter *@bluesquirrel.com.

TURING TEST: If Spam Sleuth accidentally catches a message as spam, it lets the sender type some special letters to show that the message wasn\'t sent by a mindless machine, and the message is allowed through to your InBox. (Great way to know if you\'re dealing with a real human on the other end.)
