Namely lets you get to all your applications quickly by typing part of their name.
Namely lets you get to all your applications quickly by typing part of their name. It will show you a list of matches and you keep typing to narrow them down. Actually, two or three letters are enough most of the time. When you've found what you're looking for, hit Return to launch it. What's New: Version 1.1:Now works on Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. Starting Namely and reloading the list of applications is now faster. Classic applications are marked. This also solves the problem of apparent duplicates. You can choose to exclude all Classic applications in the preferences. If a Classic application has the same name as a native application, the native one is always shown first. Now includes applications if the typed characters occur anywhere in its name, not just at the beginning of a word. Now ignores spaces in both the typed text and in application names, so you can type "text e" for TextEdit or "nete" for Internet Explorer. The drop-down list will no longer float above the About Namely window. Memory footprint is smaller initially, but will grow while Namely is being used until a plateau is reached. Fixed a memory leak that occurred when rebuilding the list of applications. Platforms: Mac OS X , Macintosh System requirements: Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
