Handy Backup Small Server is software solution for backup and restore of individual computer data in business environments. The product key features are powerful automatic backup for Windows 8, database backup, disk imaging, support of cloud-based services (Dropbox, CloudMe) via WebDAV protocol, and a bunch of geeky options (like Unicode-enabled backup, support of long path names, high speeds for transferring large data over a network, and others). The powerful database backup involves the copying and restoring of MS Exchange (all versions), Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, IDM DB2, and any ODBC-compatible databases. Hot database backup is available, so there is no need to stop the service in order to make a copy of data. The disk imaging functionality helps to make major data copies, from a partition table to the entire hard drive. The option is oriented toward Windows and Linux image backup. The functionality makes it possible to easy clone hard disks and save time for disaster recovery after a major system crash. The software automatically detects the target data and transfers it to a storage place of user choice. The variety of supported storage options includes local and network drives, optical disks, remote FTP locations, secure SFTP servers, secure Handy Backup cloud. Smart options like drag-and-drop interface along with command-line controls, are backup in Windows Service mode, zip compression, encryption, backup scheduling, and many others are presented. The utility smoothly manages both the backup of casual files (docs, Outlook mail, system settings, etc.) and large data copying. The software solution is Unicode-enabled and supports long path and file names. A number of state-of-the-art software technologies are featured: Volume Shadow Copying service for open file backup and archive size optimization, Linux Knoppix disk image restore, and others. The software backup functionality is optimal for Windows 8/7/Vista/2003/XP and 2008/2003 Server.
