GPSNavX is the solution for the boater that wants to take the Macintosh aboard for real-time display of position on full color marine Softcharts and BSB raster charts. Just plug your GPS into your Macintosh and watch as your boat moves along in real-time, plotting a track behind the boat and logging your historic position on a digital chart. GPSNavX is loaded with many features. GPSNavX is also right at home for planning trips and charting out new destinations. A GPS is not required to work with charts. What's New: Version 2.38: "Chart Bounds" on the Chart Settings Panel when enabled will show the boundaries of any other chart in the charts folder that intersects with the currently opened chart. When the cursor is moved over the chart, next to it will be displayed the title of the chart which is under the cursor. Double click to load that chart. If you click outside the bounds of a smaller scale chart, the next larger scale chart will be loaded. This is an easy visually assisted way to drill in or out of charts. Any chart which intersects with the currently opened chart will be listed at the bottom of the context menu. [control] click anywhere on the chart to see the menu. Those that have the selected (clicked on) position on them will have a Weather waypoint icons. "Folder" button on the Open Charts window let's the top level folder where charts are located. Identical functionality as the "Select..." button on the Preferences window. It no longer is a requirement that the current position be plotted on an open chart for the "Goto" button(s) to activate. Show Annotate state is preserved on startup. "Instruments" on the "Track" menu will show/hide the instruments fields of the Track Log. Notes field in the Track Log allows text input on any log record. "Cancel Goto" button is on the Chart Settings window. Use this to de-activate an active waypoint or route. An active waypoint need not be cancelled to select another waypoint.
