CPUfrequency is a group of Terminal shell scripts (sysctl hw.CPUfrequency) that determine the speed that your processor is actually running at. If the number displayed is significantly lower than what it should be, your Power Manager has most likely gone wonky and you need to reset it. Shut down your computer. Hold down SHIFT+CTRL+OPTION+POWER for 5 seconds, then start up again. Run this script again to see the improvements! WARNING: This will reset your preferences (clock, etc) to their defaults and erase any RAM disks you may have. What's New: Version 1.1 now shows the speed in MHz instead of Hz. Platforms: Mac OS X , Macintosh System requirements: Mac OS X 10.0 or later.
