BW D-Calc 1.0 - Distribution Calculator with GUI combined with MS Office interoperability. Overview - BW D-Calc 1.0 is a distribution calculator with a graphic user interface. It displays probability density and cumulative probability plots and tabulates percentiles and parameters for more than 20 distributions. Applications - This is a handy tool for use in education, engineering, science and commerce. Typical applications include the preparation of customised probability tables for use with experimental or survey data and as a demonstration device to show how the properties of distributions change with varying input parameters. Description - The interface consists of five tabs, each displaying a different group of the distribution\'s properties. The distribution tab shows the probability density graph and allows the user to query the curve for corresponding values of P and X and to set truncation parameters. The second tab displays the cumulative probability curve, this corresponds to the table on the percentiles tab. The parameters tab shows the measures of central tendency (mean, mode and median) and dispersion (variance and standard deviation). For distributions where skewness and kurtosis can be derived, these are displayed on the properties tab. The distributions are the beta, binomial (standard and normal approx.), Cauchy (Lorenz), Chi-squared, Erlang, exponential, gamma, geometric, Gumbel, inverse Gauss, Laplace, logistic, lognormal (three forms of input), normal, Pareto, Poisson (standard and normal approx.) Rayleigh, Student\'s T, triangular, uniform (continuous) Wald, Weibull (three parameter version). Outputs - Many of the outputs can be exported into MS Office programs in the form of RTF, CSV and EMF either on the clipboard or in a file. License - The software is licensed on a single machine basis. The activation code which is installed over internet is specific to the machine from which the software is activated.
